Job Title: Editorial Management Positions -  Copy Editor

Journal: The International Journal of Police Science (IJPS)

Location: Online

Salary: "All roles, responsibilities, and positions are voluntary until the IJPS Journal secures a supporter."

Please note that the Copy Editor positions are voluntary roles until sufficient support and funding are secured for the Journal. While we actively seek financial backing through various means, including sponsorships, grants, and donations, we want to be transparent about the initial volunteer nature of these roles. Your contribution as a Copy Editor will play a vital role in the success and sustainability of The International Journal of Police Science (IJPS) during this critical phase. We appreciate your understanding and dedication to the mission of open-access knowledge dissemination.

About Us:

The International Journal of Police Science (IJPS) stands as a peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal, catering to an international community comprising policing, law enforcement, and security students, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers. We publish an array of content types, including research articles, review articles, rapid communications, case studies, and book reviews, addressing policing, law enforcement, and security issues, alongside pertinent subjects in legal, social, anthropological, and related fields linked to the realm of security.

IJPS prides itself on its commitment to open access, refraining from charging readers for content access and authors for publication. We firmly believe that financial circumstances should never serve as barriers to accessing or disseminating crucial knowledge.

In the short term, we actively seek funding through sponsorships, grants, and private donations to offset expenses incurred since January 1, 2023, and those yet to come. In the long run, we're exploring a range of funding options, such as sponsorships, advertisements, print edition sales, and educational services and materials sales.

IJPS's current financial backing exclusively stems from the International Police Science Association (IPSA), a US-based nonprofit [501(c)(3)] organization. Donations made to the journal via IPSA are tax-deductible.
